In the world of hypnotism, Lu Feng Ping is known for being one of the country's best hypnotists. A true genius in his field, Feng Ping’s skill is unparalleled. Naturally, when the city is rocked by a string of crimes that all seem to be conducted under the influence of hypnotism, it is Feng Ping the police turn to for help. As the officer assigned to the case, Luo Fei has no choice but to consult with Feng Ping. A criminal detective plagued by his own inner demons, Luo Fei is highly suspicious of Feng Ping and his work. However, Luo Fei has to admit that Feng Ping’s insight would help him better understand the ins and outs of this particular case. Putting their mutual suspicions aside, Feng Ping and Luo Fei take on the case with equal fervor. Working together, the two come to find that something other than their work connects them: a decade-old case that, to this day, has gone unsolved. Connected in a way neither expected, Luo Fei and Feng Ping eagerly dive deeper into their work, searching for clues that will help them solve both their past and present cases. As they work, they uncover a mysterious organization with some very twisted connections. Could this be the break they desperately need to bring both cases to a close, or is there something even darker lurking in the shadows?
